The Mercy Arrives in Hawaii

Aloha! I'm feeling jealous that I've not yet joined this great team on board the Mercy.  No worries, though, I will get my turn in Hawaii at the END of my adventure with Pacific Partnership.  Now that's a reward! Commodore "F" has posted this great blog entry about the first week at sea.  Check it out! http://www.facebook.com/notes/pacific-partnership/commodore-fs-blog-3/10150186239405529

The Mercy Has Departed!!!

On May 1, 2010, the USNS Mercy left San Diego for the start of its 4 month mission to Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia.  The ship will be joining others from different countries in a combined effort to assist nations in need as well as form positive relationships, making it easier to work together in the event of natural disasters in that part of our world. I'm am so privileged to be invited to join such a project later this Summer!  I'm so anxious!  Please click on this link to view some pictures of the ship leaving San Diego and read an interesting description of the first day at sea. http://www.facebook.com/pacificpartnership?ref=ts#!/pacificpartnership?v=app_2347471856&ref=ts
